Ένα ακόμη μέλος προστέθηκε στο Πατριαρχείο Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής και στην Ελληνορθόδοξη Εκκλησία που παροικεί στην Αξώμη.
Πρόκειται για τον Αιθίοπα ευλαβέστατο νέο, φοιτητή της Νομικής επιστήμης, ο οποίος μετά από πολυετή εσωτερική αναζήτηση και πολύμηνη κατήχηση στην Ορθόδοξη Πίστη, τα Δόγματα και τις Παραδόσεις της Ανατολικής Εκκλησίας, ασπάσθηκε οικειοθελώς την Ορθοδοξία.
Το Μυστήριο του Αγίου Χρίσματος τέλεσε ο Σεβασμ. Μητροπολίτης Αξώμης κ. Δανιήλ, στον Καθεδρικό Ιερό Ναό Αγίου Φρουμεντίου, την Κυριακή 31η Δεκεμβρίου 2023.
Ο νεοφώτιστος έλαβε, μετά από προσωπική του επιθυμία, το όνομα “Ιγνάτιος”, προς τιμήν του Αγίου ιερομάρτυρος Ιγνατίου του Θεοφόρου, επισκόπου Αντιοχείας.
Του ευχόμαστε ολόθερμα το ΑΞΙΟΣ και τα Χαρίσματα και οι Δωρεές του Παναγίου Πνεύματος τα οποία έλαβε δια του Μυστηρίου του Αγίου Χρίσματος να είναι πάντοτε ενεργά στην χριστιανική του ζωή!

Another member was added to the Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa and to the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Aksum.
It is about the venerable young Ethiopian, a student of Law, who after many years of inner searching and many months of indoctrination in the Orthodox Faith, the Doctrines and Traditions of the Orthodox Church, voluntarily embraced Eastern Orthodoxy.
The Sacrament of Holy Chrismation was performed by H.E. the Metropolitan of Aksum Daniel, at the Cathedral Holy Church of Saint Frumentios, on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
The neophyte received the name “Ignatius”, in honor of the Saint Hieromartyr Ignatius the Theophorus (God-bearing), bishop of Antioch (AD 305-107).
We wholeheartedly wish him AXIOS (worthy) and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit which he received through the Holy Sacrament of Chrismation will always be active in his Christian life!
PRAY:
“Sovereign Master, Compassionate King of All, bestow upon Your servant IGNATIUS also the Seal of Your omnipotent and adorable Holy Spirit, and the Communion of the Holy Body and Most Precious Blood of Your Christ; keep him in Your sanctification; confirm him in the Orthodox Faith; deliver him from the Evil One and all his devices; preserve his soul, through Your saving fear, in purity and righteousness, that in every work and word, being acceptable before You, he may become a child and heir of Your heavenly Kingdom.
For You are our God, the God of Mercy and Salvation, and to You do we send up Glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages”.
