Στις 15 Φεβρουαρίου, συμπληρώνεται ένα έτος από την Εκλογή του Σεβασμιωτάτου Μητροπολίτου κ. Δανιήλ, στην Επισκοπική Καθέδρα της Άκκρας.
Με πρωτοβουλία του “Ορθόδοξου Συνδέσμου Νέων” του Καθεδρικού Ναού Μεταμορφώσεως του Χριστού Άκκρας, διοργανώθηκε μια σεμνή αναμνηστική εκδήλωση προς τιμή του Σεβασμιωτάτου.
Ο Πρόεδρος του Συνδέσμου κ. Michael Addo-Darko, εκ μέρους του Συμβουλίου των Ορθοδόξων νέων, ευχαρίστησε τον Μητροπολίτη για την συνεχή πατρική του αγάπη και συμπαράσταση, εκφράζοντας την ευχή να του δίδει ο Θεός πολλά χρόνια στην υπηρεσία του Ορθοδόξου ποιμνίου της Γκάνα.
Ο Μητροπολίτης συγκινημένος ευχαρίστησε τους παρευρισκόμενους κληρικούς και εφημερίους του Καθεδρικού Ναού, ιδιαιτέρως όλους τους νέους για την αγάπη και την τιμή στον ιερό θεσμό του Επισκόπου, που αποβαίνει στον Μακαριώτατο Πατριάρχη κ.κ. Θεόδωρο και το παλαίφατο Πατριαρχείο Αλεξανδρείας και πάσης Αφρικής, που είναι ο πνευματικός τροφός και οδηγός των Ορθοδόξων Γκανέζων από το 1982 έως σήμερα.
Οι νέοι μας, μετά την πνευματική τροφή της Θείας Ευχαριστίας, φρόντισαν και για την υλική, παραθέτοντας γεύμα προς τους παρευρισκόμενους.
Κόπηκε η κατά την Γκανέζικη παράδοση αναμνηστική τούρτα και στην συνέχεια ακούστηκαν τοπικά τραγούδια για την διασκέδαση της νεολαίας μας.

One Year in the Episcopal Ministry of the Holy Metropolis of Accra.
On February 15, we mark the first anniversary of the election of His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel to the Episcopal See of Accra.
At the initiative of the “Orthodox Youth Association” of the Holy Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ in Accra, a solemn commemorative event was organized in honor of His Eminence.
The President of the Association, Mr. Michael Addo-Darko, on behalf of the Council of Orthodox Youth, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Metropolitan for his continuous paternal love and unwavering support. He also conveyed the prayerful wish that God may grant him many years of service in shepherding the Orthodox faithful of Ghana.
Deeply moved, His Eminence expressed his appreciation to the clergy and parish priests of the Holy Cathedral who were in attendance, with special gratitude to the youth for their love and respect for the sacred institution of the Episcopacy. He emphasized that this honor is ultimately directed towards His Beatitude, Pope and Patriarch Theodore II, and the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, which has been the spiritual nourisher and guide of Orthodox Ghanaians since 1982.
Following the spiritual nourishment of the Divine Eucharist, the youth also ensured physical sustenance by offering a meal to all attendees. In accordance with Ghanaian tradition, a commemorative cake was cut, followed by the singing of traditional songs to enhance the joyous atmosphere for the youth.

Un An de Ministère Épiscopal au sein de la Sainte Métropole d’Accra
Le 15 février marque le premier anniversaire de l’élection de Son Éminence, le Métropolite Daniel, au Siège Épiscopal d’Accra.
À l’initiative de l’« Association Orthodoxe de la Jeunesse » de la Sainte Cathédrale de la Transfiguration du Christ à Accra, un événement commémoratif empreint de solennité a été organisé en l’honneur de Son Éminence.
Le Président de l’Association, M. Michael Addo-Darko, s’exprimant au nom du Conseil de la Jeunesse Orthodoxe, a exprimé sa profonde gratitude à l’égard du Métropolite pour son amour paternel constant et son soutien indéfectible. Il a également formulé le vœu que Dieu lui accorde de longues années au service du troupeau orthodoxe du Ghana.
Profondément ému, Son Éminence a remercié les membres du clergé et les prêtres paroissiaux de la Sainte Cathédrale présents à cette occasion, en adressant une reconnaissance particulière aux jeunes pour leur amour et le respect qu’ils portent à l’institution sacrée de l’Épiscopat. Il a souligné que cet honneur revient en définitive à Sa Béatitude, le Pape et Patriarche Théodore II, ainsi qu’au vénérable Patriarcat d’Alexandrie et de toute l’Afrique, qui est le guide et nourricier spirituel des Orthodoxes ghanéens depuis 1982.
Après la nourriture spirituelle offerte par la Divine Eucharistie, les jeunes ont également veillé à l’aspect matériel en offrant un repas à tous les participants. Conformément à la tradition ghanéenne, un gâteau commémoratif a été découpé, suivi de chants traditionnels pour animer la célébration et réjouir la jeunesse présente.
