Την Πέμπτη το βράδυ, 30 Ιανουαρίου 2025, τελέστηκε Ακολουθία του Μεγάλου Αρχιερατικού Εσπερινού στον Ιερό Ναό Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου, κατά τον οποίο χοροστάτησε ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Άκκρας κ. Δανιήλ, με την παρουσία όλου του Ιερού Κλήρου της χώρας.
Οι πιστοί έψαλλαν κατανυκτικά τα τροπάρια, συμμετέχοντας προσευχητικά στην κοινή Εσπερινή προσευχή.
Μετά τον εσπερινό, κατευθύνθηκαν στον χώρο του Ιερού Προσκυνήματος, όπου τελέστηκε η Ακολουθία του Αγιασμού, για την έναρξη των Συνάξεων.
Ο Σεβασμιώτατος στην ομιλία του καλωσόρισε τους κληρικούς και όλους τους πιστούς, μεταφέροντας τις πατρικές ευχές και ευλογίες του Αλεξανδρινού Προκαθημένου κ.κ. Θεοδώρου. Αναφέρθηκε στην σπουδαιότητα της φετινής Σύναξης, η οποία αφιερώθηκε στον Άγιο Αθανάσιο τον Μέγα, την Α Οικουμενική Σύνοδο και την επέτειο συμπληρώσεως των 1.700 ετών.

Meeting of the Orthodox of Ghana, is held in the Gomoa Fomena area, at the Holy Pilgrimage of Saint Raphael.
On Thursday evening, January 30, 2025, a service of the Great Hierarchical Vespers was held at the Holy Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, during which H.E. Metropolitan of Accra Daniel, officiated, in the presence of the whole holy clergy of the country.
The faithful chanted the hymns with prayer, participating prayerfully in the common evening prayer.
After Vesper, they headed to the site of the Holy Pilgrimage, where the Consecration Service of Holy Water was held, for the start of the Meeting.
In his speech, His Eminence welcomed the Clergy and all the faithful, conveying the paternal wishes and blessings of the Alexandrian Primate Theodoros II.
He referred to the importance of this year’s Synaxis, which was dedicated to Saint Athanasios the Great, the First Ecumenical Council and the anniversary of the completion of 1,700 years.
